"I was walking my dog early that morning. I was walking past the Wildlife Park when I saw somebody acting very strange. It was too dark to see very much but the person I saw was certainly younger than me."



Witness statement from: Thelma Truth
Age: 56

"I am a cleaner at the Wildlife Park and I start work at 5am. As I was unlocking the gates of the Wildlife Park I saw someone carrying a sack. It wasn't Santa Claus. He pushed past me and ran down the road in a hurry. It was soon after that I discovered the Capuchin was missing".



Police statement from: PC Plod
Age: 43

"I arrived at the Wildlife Park after the cleaner rang the police station to say that there was a missing animal. She showed me where the strange man had pushed past her. I looked carefully at the ground and saw a footprint in the mud. Whoever it was, they had a shoe size less than size 9."



Witness statement from: Mr. Sam Wilson
Age: 38

"I own a shop nearby and I was just opening it when I saw a man running down the street. I was surprised because it was so early in the morning to see someone in such a hurry. I noticed that he had a bald head."
